Hello everyone, as some may have noticed I was not able to make the latest version of the various Icinga packages available; it has become more and more difficult to build them as the Icinga project stopped making their rpm specification files private and I'm left to speculations about the changes which are required to get a working build process.
I leave it to everyone's choice if they want to continue using Icinga as their monitoring solution, I just wanted everyone to know I can't guarantee anymore to keep up with the latest package versions.

Installing Icinga Director
The official Icinga2 documentation for installing the icinga-director via package manager is faulty as I cannot find the package anywhere at https://packages.icinga.com/centos/8/release/ for example.
I personally run a setup for years already from these instructions without problems: https://icinga.com/docs/icinga-director/latest/doc/02-Installation/From-Source/
The Freedom For Icinga repository has the RPM packages for the icinga-director which can be installed via "sudo dnf install icingaweb2-module-director" but these have not been tested thoroughly.
